Well, I thought that I would create a blog and everything would be easy peasy. But nooooo! Is anything ever as easy as we think it is going to be? I am a relatively smart person who can figure out most things on my own (with help from Sir Google, of course). However, getting this blog up and running is proving to be way more difficult that I expected.
First off, WordPress is not as user-friendly as I thought it would/should be. I guess I planned my blog to be more website-like and not so post on top of post. Instead, I initially ended up with a mish-mosh of useless “pages” and posts and links all over the place. After hours of Google-ing, I finally realized that pages were not the route I needed to go – categories were the way to make the blog more Aimee-friendly.
Yet, I still wasn’t happy. I had to change the template from my favorite retro camera one so that the categories could appear on the top of the page instead of lost at the bottom. I also had to make a header graphic in PowerPoint (hence the low resolution) because I couldn’t use HTML to change the font and sizing of the text in WordPress.
Ultimately, I kinda got the pages to look how I wanted them to. Now I just have to figure out what content to add……..hmmm, I’m thinking that’s going to be the really hard part.
