Get a rewards credit card and charge everything! Just make sure you can pay off the balance in full at the end of the month. I personally like my Discover card. It gives cash back that you can redeem for either cash or gift cards with bonus dollars on them. I also carry a Capital One Visa card since some places still do not take Discover. Both Capital One and Discover also do not charge transaction fees when traveling abroad.
